Claps - Website Redesign

project overview

The Problem: Following a brand refresh, the existing Claps website was visually misaligned and strategically unequipped to handle the reintroduction of Saudi news alongside Egypt news. The platform lacked a seamless way for dual-market, bilingual readers to filter content or subscribe to their specific preferences, while core utility tools, like the Egypt Dividend Calendar, were buried and completely unfindable. The Solution: As the sole designer, I restructured the platform architecture to seamlessly host both markets and localized preferences. I designed an interactive hero subscription module featuring country and language dropdowns, surface-leveled the Dividend Calendar into the primary navigation, and established a clear editorial visual hierarchy, utilizing a distinct, colorful "Today's Issue" layout accent and a scannable "TLDR" pattern within articles to capture immediate attention. The Outcome & Output: Successfully delivered a fully responsive, modern web experience that reflects the refreshed visual identity and drives targeted newsletter retention. Shipped a flexible layout grid optimized for cross-platform skimmability, introducing structured content cards, dual-market preference filtering, and enhanced reading layouts built specifically for fast consumer digestion.
